Annamore Court
Located in Ballyfermot, Dublin; Annamore Court comprises 70 one-bed apartments and became the Trust’s third supported housing scheme for older people.
Developed by the Iveagh Trust with support from our partners in Dublin City Council, the Department of Housing and the Housing Finance Agency, the €10m development opened in June 2017, transforming a derelict site of 38 bedsit type units.
Laid out over 4 floors, all homes at Annamore are wheelchair accessible while two apartments are specifically adapted for wheelchair users and include accommodation for overnight carers. These “A” rated apartments are all dual-aspect with good sized balconies or terraces. The development is adjacent to long established communities in Ballyfermot and within easy reach of local shops and facilities.
Annamore includes a range of facilities and services aimed at supporting independent living in the community for as long as possible. A visiting nursing service provides a level of care and support to residents in their own homes through Dublin Call & Care while the Iveagh Trust’s Tenant Liaison Officers host weekly social gatherings and arrange a variety of events throughout the year.
A number of residents have opted to ‘rightsize’ moving from larger properties in the area to suit their needs while freeing-up houses for families.
