Mount Anthony Celebrates 60th Anniversary

A fantastic celebration to mark 60 years of Mount Anthony was held on the 27th of September. Mount Anthony first opened its doors in 1962 and is one of the first purpose-built housing schemes for older people in Ireland.

Today Mount Anthony provides over 140 homes, with a range of supports and services to help our residents live independently in the community for as long as possible.

Resident, Bert Taylor said "it’s a beautiful place and I think what makes it is, the thesis of Iveagh Trust, the way they look after people and the staff that I’ve met, they all portray that, they really do".

A great afternoon was had by all, with thanks to our partners in Dublin City Council, the Community Gardaí and of course our wonderful staff for making it all happen!

Thanks also to the Irish Independent for coming along:
