Work on what would become the Trust's second supported housing scheme for older people got underway in 1987.
Trustees had decided to convert a disused wing of the Iveagh Hostel, creating 16 apartments as part of phase one, with a further 12 apartments added in subsequent years.
On completion the building was named Moyne House to honour 60 years of continuous service as a Trustee by Bryan Walter Guinness, 2nd Lord Moyne, who had also donated generously to support the project.
